Derrick Mason is an elite, veteran receiver who is the heartbeat of the Baltimore Ravens’ offense. During his 12-year, 2-time Pro Bowl career, WR Derrick Mason has made himself into one of the NFL’s most valuable targets. Since earning his 1st Pro Bowl in 2000, Mason has the 4th-most catches (743) and 5th-most receiving yards (9,453) of all active players. One of the league’s most durable and consistent wideouts, he has played in 106 consecutive games (2nd most among active WRs) and has now produced at least 60 catches in 9 straight seasons. Mason finished his four-year college career at Michigan State University and was drafted by the Oilers/Titans 4th round (98th overall) in the 1997 NFL Draft. "Receiving on the Field, Giving in the Community" serves as the slogan for The Derrick Mason Foundation, which was originally launched to help at-risk children and battered women in the greater Nashville area. During every game week, Mason selects Bible verses and writes them on his game shoes for inspiration. Derrick and his wife, Marci (married on 6/7/97), have 2 children: daughter, Bailee My-Lin (3/24/99), and son, Derrick II (7/11/03).
